Legacy

Manindra Sangeet Tirtha was founded in 1970 by Late Pt. Pataki Bhattacharjee, father of Pt. Koushik Bhattacharjee. It was named after Koushik’s Grandfather Late Pt. Manindranath Bhattacharjee.

Manindra Sangeet Tirtha is dedicated to nurture young students in Hindustani Classical Music. An all around approach is maintained which helps the students develop the sense of music.

Yearly assessment for all the students is taken to monitor their progress. Eminent Artists come to judge the performances of the students and share their valuable knowledge and experiences.

Our Annual Music Conference is held every year and all the students get the chance to perform in front of a large audience. Exceptional talents also get the chance to perform solo. Overall this regular approach of making the students perform on stage reduces their stage fear and make them better performers in the future.

We also conduct Workshops and Online Classes for Students who cannot come to the premises on a regular basis. Tabla and Harmonium classes are also conducted by experienced artists.
